“Just Love” Photo-Taking Competition Rules and Regulations
Eligibility: Undergraduate students of NUS. By participating, you agree to these Official Rules and all the decisions of Judges, which are final and binding in all respects.
How to participate: The theme of the competition is Love. Just take photos of what you think the theme of love is expressed.
Submission Period:
29 January 2007 00:00H to 10 February 2007 23:59H.Entry Submission: No porn or illicit content to be submitted. Taking of photos with digital cameras, conventional cameras, and camera phones is possible. Send soft copy of photo of dimensions
at least 1024 x 768 pixels if taken by digital cameras or conventional cameras, or dimensions
at least 800 x 600 pixels if taken by camera phones, to
loveinscience@gmail.com, together with name, matriculation number, email address, and contact number. Each participant is eligible to send in at most three entries. For multiple entries, please indicate in the file name, e.g. IMG0001a, IMG0001b, IMG0001c. By submitting an entry you warrant and represent that the entry, and your submission thereof to the Competition, does not violate any law, regulation or right of any third party, including but not limited to patent, copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right, and that the entry has not been published or submitted in any competition or otherwise disclosed to any third party. Entries must be received and recorded by the committee by
10 February 2007 23:59H.Judging period: 12 February 2007 00:00H to 15 February 2007 23:59H.
Judging: Based on 60%: voting by students from Faculty of Science, and 40%: from the judges. E-mails will be sent to all undergraduates from Faculty of Science after the end of submission period and undergraduates would have to vote which entry fits the theme most. All judging will (a) be on an anonymous basis in which the judges do not have access to the entrant’s personal information, and (b) be conducted by a judging committee identified by the Video And Photography committee.
Participant’s confidentiality is upheld. Judge confidentiality is also upheld. Winners will be notified in 16-17 February 2007.
Prizes: There will be 3 prizes given to the top three participants.
Each participant may stand a chance to win at most one prize.
First Prize: Best Denki $60 Voucher;
Second Prize: Best Denki $40 Voucher;
Third Prize: Best Denki $20 Voucher.
Results: Results will be sent to all undergraduates via e-mail.
